I've always been a fan of comic books. In high school and college I even self-published some of my own comics. These days I stick mainly to single-image illustrations but sometimes I get to help out with a cover. These are a couple of my comic book cover illustrations. TURF was a great mini-series written by British television personality Jonathan Ross and illustrated by the monstrously talented Tommy Lee Edwards. Tommy wanted a graphic depiction of 1920's New York with a horror twist. Cthulhu Tales: The Rising was an anthology of HP Lovecraft inspired short stories. Again, the direction was to create a flat-yet-stylized image for a horror comic book.
